Restoring faith in local government requires absolute transparency and accountability. Hanover Park Rising Together is dedicated to making City Hall an open book. We will implement policies that ensure all municipal financial records, contract awards, and policy decisions are accessible to the public in real-time through an easy-to-use digital portal.
This initiative includes establishing an independent oversight committee composed of residents to audit municipal spending and hold officials accountable for their actions. We will also reform the procurement process to eliminate conflicts of interest and ensure contracts are awarded based on merit and value to the community.
Furthermore, we will introduce participatory budgeting, allowing residents to directly vote on how a portion of the municipal budget is allocated for community projects. Our goal is to build a culture of integrity where governance serves the people, not special interests, creating a trustworthy administration that listens and responds to community needs.
